My Passion in Impact

We’ve witnessed ESG assets under management explode to over $30 trillion, but the UN have continued to stress that a severe financing gap of $4 – 7 trillion per year exists to complete the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) by 2030. Meanwhile, corporate institutions continue to market their sustainability story to their stakeholders but cannot present numbers to back their contribution.

I passionately believe that impact Investing is the absolute solution to the egregious volume of green and social washing in the financial system. Impact is not an ‘asset class’ that sacrifices returns, it’s investing in resilient businesses and projects that generate market-rate returns while delivering positive and measurable life outcomes to stakeholders.

As a son of first generation immigrant parents from China, I have witnessed the struggle of underserved communities through pictures, stories and real life events from food insecurity, pollution and lack of education. I believe that investing and measuring impact through the UNSDG framework will end global poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for future generations.
